You may have noticed during last night's Wheel Of Carpet Samples that Jimmy asked one of the contestants to make an ostrich out of a brass fastener (also known as a brad). Though it might have seemed like a totally random request, it was actually inspired by one of our writers, Mike DiCenzo, who has taken up the art of sculpting animals from brads. Mike has been making br-animals for a few weeks now, much to the delight of our staff. These stunning sculptures are simple yet breathtaking, and surely will one day be remembered as revolutionary in the art world and beyond. I am so pleased to tell you that Mike allowed us into his inner br-animal world - to photograph his creations and talk to him about his process.
