This new invention from German designer Stefan Ulrich, the Funktionide Blob, uses artificial muscle technology to change shape, pulsate, move, and generally act terrifying. It's supposed to relieve loneliness, but I'm not sure if there's anything on earth that would make me feel more alone than to wake up to this thing slowly throbbing its way up to me in the middle of the night.
