Tom Tom Club played Late Night last night, and it was SO MUCH FUN. These guys have just as much spirit as they did back when they formed in 1981. For the kids: Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz, the founding members of the band, were also members of the Talking Heads, and their song "Genius of Love" became a hit (and was famously sampled by Mariah Carey). This year they are celebrating 30 years together with a new album of live versions and remixes of their old hits, called Genius of Live, and last night, they joyously performed two songs in our studio: the aforementioned "Genius of Love" (which you can watch in our full episode player HERE) and "Wordy Rappinghood" exclusively for site!
