What's up everybody!!! It's that time! ("What time?") I said THAT time! ("WHAT time?") Let's say it together......."TGIF GIF!!!" BOOYAH! We did it! This week we're delving into the archives of the show to bring you some great TGIF GIFs from our Friday shows. Usually on Fridays we haven't aired the show yet, so we don't use those shows for GIFage. That means, you never really get to see any GIFs from Friday shows. Until today. All these GIFs are from Friday shows. So let's do this!!! Friday's recap style!

Let's get started with Jimmy and Bradley Cooper saying "Hey":

Bradley thinks you're great!

Here's when Jimmy and Justin Long played a bro-ish hand jive at the elevator:

Tonight's Guest: Stephen Baldwin Is A Celebrity, Get Him In Here!

Posted by Sara Schaefer July 3, 2009 4:30 PM

Tonight, Stephen Baldwin will be on the show talking about his participation in the recently hard-fought reality competition show, I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! He competed against such people as Janice Dickinson, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, John Salley, Lou Diamond Phillips and Sanjaya. Though he didn't end up winning, he made a big splash in Costa Rica as the resident spiritual guide. Also, take a peek at this short promotional film that Stephen directed for Planet Smoothie, which also stars his daughter, Hailey Baldwin:

So, the moral of the story is: if you're ever being chased by a gang of people in leather jackets, a smoothie will save you!

Whoah. Disney World Animatronics Have Really Stepped Up Their Game.

Posted by Sara Schaefer July 3, 2009 3:30 PM

I realize I'm dating myself here, but the last time I went to Disney World, I was amazed by all the animatronic people! They were like life-sized dolls come to life, to teach me about space and pirates! But now...I HAD NO IDEA how advanced they have become in the last 20 years. Check out Disney's Hall of Presidents exhibit, which now includes Barack Obama. Incredibly creepy. TOO REAL!

Is anyone else imagining a computer glitch that causes the presidents to come out into the audience and start strangling people to death? Because I'm pretty sure that's definitely going to happen. Or maybe I've watched way too many episodes of The Twilight Zone.

Tonight's Guest: Whoopi Goldberg

whoopi.jpgTonight the lady, the legend, Whoopi Goldberg will be on the show. Whoopi is a comedy legend and is currently a panelist on The View.

5 Things You Did Not Know About Whoopi Goldberg (unless you read her Wikipedia page)

1. She was originally born "Caryn Elaine Johnson" but changed her name to "Whoopi", after she took it as a stage name after a whoopee cushion.

2. For a long time she traveled by bus and not by airplane. In April 2009, she flew to London for the first time since the mid-90s.

3. Her first big starring film role was in The Color Purple and she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress.

4. In the 1990s she was the highest paid actress of all time.

5. She is a native New Yorker.

Jimmy got a special preview of what some celebrities will be doing to celebrate the 4th of July - specifically, their special custom-made fireworks! He shared them with us last week, and if you didn't get to see it, now is the time to do so. Because if you don't, the terrorists win.

HAPPY 4th EVERYONE!

If You Could...What Would You Play With The Roots?

Posted by Cory Cavin July 3, 2009 12:30 PM
Categories

rootsback.jpgLast night on the show, The Roots backed Asher Roth on his song "Be By Myself". It's no secret that The Roots are the greatest band in Late Night and that they can take the stage as the headliner, but are also amazing enough to back anyone and play any style. OPEN QUESTION TO YOU ALL: If you could perform with The Roots backing YOU, what song would you play? Let's just say you're an amazing singer and The Roots are your backing band. What would it be?

Personally, and I know this is on the verge of being cheesy-wedding-reception music, I would play "Soul Man" by the Blues Brothers. It's got horn parts, it's upbeat, and me and Tariq could double team the chorus together. What do you The Roots think of that? Click through to see:
