We here at Late Night are big fans of David Chang and his Momofuku restaurants. (Anyone in this office can tell you that I am a walking testimonial for all things Momofuku and should start wearing a sandwich board and handing out menu filers around the office. I would happily do that.) David Chang has twice guested on the show and now we are very pleased to bring you Late Night Eats, where today David Chang teaches you how to cook good, instant ramen which also happens to be a cheap and delicious hangover cure. As an added bonus, David sat down with us to talk about being a celebrity chef and eating cheap in New York City. But for now, take the laptop into your kitchen, grab your apron, and let's cook. Take it away chef!
If you're in NYC and you haven't yet been to Momofuku, GO TO MOMFUKU (what is wrong with you!? Go!)! You can also pick up David Chang's cookbook Momofuku to learn more great recipes. Now watch our Backstage With David Chang video after the jump!
So let's recap - you can get a good late night bone marrow dish at Blue Ribbon in lower Manhattan. And if you're in the mood for something cheaper, go to Great New York Noodletown in Chinatown and grab some ginger scallion noodles. Now you have no excuse about eating out late in NYC, so please stop calling me for suggestions. Seriously, I turn off my phone at 9:45pm before my Epsom salts bath, so I'd really rather not be disturbed anymore. Get your munch on! And make some ramen this weekend and let us know how it goes!
