Here's the deal. You know we love chef David Chang, a frequent guest on the show and the creator of NYC's Momofuku restaurants. David and his team needed a place to come up with their delicious creations so they started a super secret test lab. No one is allowed in there except the guys coming up with dishes (respectively David, Momofuku chefs Dan Felder and Daniel Burns, and occasional collaborators). That's cool, we get it, super secret chef stuff. But then David invited us to come by and take a look around. Um, YES. We will accept that invitation. RSVP +1. While we were there they were making soy milk and tofu from scratch, y'know just for fun. They were also tweaking a dish made from lichen that a forager had just found for them. Oh I'm sorry, are we back in pioneer days, but this time around they're mouth watering pioneer days? Good to know, glad I showed up, can I put some of this in my covered wagon? It was the best.
