Wooo! Today is the first Fun With Stock Photos of the year! Happy new year, stock images. I think stock photos resolved to be more ridiculous than ever this year. This time, I searched for the term "breaking up." The results? Phenomenal. I even found a sub-category of photos I call the "She's Behind Me, Isn't She?" Series. You'll see. FUN!
This time on Fun With Stock Photos, when I entered my search term, "santa," I fully expected to be filled with holiday glee. Instead, I found picture after picture of the saddest, most pathetic-looking Santas. They say that Christmas can be a hard time for a lot of people - but maybe Santa is the one that suffers the most?
It's the holiday season, and it's also time for a new Fun With Stock Photos!! This week's edition: MISTLETOE. Because there's no better way to awkwardly force someone to kiss you. Especially at work.

You will soon learn that I am completely obsessed with stock photos. I love the idea that an entire crew of photographers, producers, assistants, models, interns, and designers put an enormous amount of effort to make pictures that represent abstract ideas in images, all so that we can use them in a brochure or powerpoint presentation. Sometimes I love to just randomly search for something in our stock photo library to see what comes up. Today, I searched for "ANGRY BUSINESSMAN," and the results...STUNNING! I've added captions to a few - but here are the top 21 results:
